Vince No offense but it did make me look on the bottom of the mug. It says W. Germany, best as I can say. Hard to read. Even if it was made in Japan it would be okay by me. I did take this totally as a joke but just thought everyone else would be interested in our dialogue. Not every immigrant's ship has a mug from Japan or anywhere. I never expected it to be an antique at all. Just proud to have it! I would like to know if anyone else comes across one. In the mean time, I will hold on to it until antique roadshow can tell me how many where made. Another joke! Barb
