I accidently zeroxed 10 copies (8x11) of Bebber's township map, showing original owners. It is not my work, I got my copy at a library. But it is beautifully done. I have a beautiful chart showing the descendants of Jesse R Tyson 1874-1935 and his wife Mary A Sidwell 1877 - 1963. Unfortunately I didn't mark on the chart the name of the person who so graciously sent it to me. This is not my Tyson line. But perhaps it is the line of someone on this mail list. I have added all the material to my vast Tyson file, but I don't need the chart anymore. Please write me via this list if you are interested. Cathy
Hi Debbie, I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. I was out of town for two weeks and became ill right after my return and was in the hospital for another two weeks, and am only now FINALLY getting caught up with my back correspondence now that I am well on the road to being fully recovered. To answer your question, I have formed a company, Moore Digitized Documents Company, where we take digital photographs of old documents owned by churches, libraries, historical societies and other non profit groups, digitally enhance the photos, index them, and then put the digital images and the index files for those records onto CDs as a way of preserving the information that is on these old, often fragile, historically significant documents and making that information available to the general public. We don't charge the non profits anything for doing this service, and in fact pay them royalties based upon the sales of the CDs, so that they will have a source of income that will hopefully enable them to be able to take other steps to preserve their old documents. Our first contract is with Calvary Church, Conshohocken, PA, which has had a number of descendants of Original 13 families among its membership over the years. We have released Volume 1 of the Calvary Church Archives and are currently in the process of indexing the records that will be included in the second volume, as well as continuing to photograph other documents that will be included in future volumes. We have also been involved in preliminary discussions with other clergy members from other churches who are also interested in having us digitally photograph and preserve the information on their documents as well, and we will hopefully be able to begin working on the other churches' archives once we have completed our work at Calvary. I will continue posting some of the other listings from the records that pertain to the Original 13 as I run across them in the course of our work. Matthias/Theiss Doors- this connects to Paulus Kuster's wife, Gertrude: Theiss married Agnes. (p.2-3) Helen Theissen ("daughter of Theiss"), sister of Gertrude b. abt 1650. Helen & Thones immigrated, as did Elisabeth Doors, Gertrude's sister. Gertrude came in 1690. Herman came in 1684. Reiner (brother) came on the Conrad. Possibly I am related to Jan Streypers. So, with all these connections with Kusters & Doors, am I descended from original immigrants (the references are to some documents e-mailed to me dated July 1986)? Trace the Rex line back to the 1750s, please & I can tell you. If they were E.PA, I AM related, maybe not descended, but related. Hi, Mike! I am related to the REX surname thru my surname "Mayberry" does it ring any bells or jog a memory. My Sophia and another one can't remember her name married a REX. They were descendants of Thomas Mayberry the Iron Master of Pennsylvania sometime around 1717-17?? 1747 I think, not sure. Will be glad to have anything you can spare on my line. I think I'm descended from Thomas Kunders (I am off the Kuster line). I noticed familiar names being researched, like Clevering (an ancestor- in-law). Names include Rex/Ruger of Germantown & Lehigh/Carbon County & OH, Silfies (there is a Silvius-L :) ), Orner, Holder (Kuster line), Miller, Freyman/Fryman (BIG gap). > > I found my Palatinate & Bavarian ancestors' relatives living in the same canton (Zurich) in the 1750s. Anybody out there related to me or familiar with my line? I could use some help, even with the vast info I've found, but that vast amount only applies to Kuster, Rex, & Silfies. > > Thanks, > > Michael Gallagher > Kirkwood Chapter Historian, DESSAR (Rexs) > 3rd-year sophomore, U of Delaware > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <ORIGINAL-13-L-request@rootsweb.com> > To: <famtree@UDel.Edu> > Sent: Monday, November 03, 2003 3:31 PM > Subject: Re: > > > > *** AUTOMATED MESSAGE FROM A COMPUTER *** > > > > You have added to the subscriber list of: > > > > ORIGINAL-13-L@rootsweb.com > > > > the following mail address: > > > > famtree@UDel.Edu > > > > By default, copies of your own submissions will be returned. > > > > Welcome to the ORIGINAL-13 mailing list! Again it pops up in spite of decades of denial. Neither Isabella or Gertrud Conrad nor the consolidated Mayor of Philadelphia Robert Taylor Conrad were descendants of Thones Kunders. Prove me wrong. Prithee do. We continue to use old materials, long debunked, and some societies seem to accept them sans proof or sources. Let us take a look again...Erik P Conard, Denver
