    3. Cathy, I have been ill for 5 weeks and am behind on email. You sent me a copy of Bebber's township and I just wanted to thank you if I failed to do so earlier. I really appreciated it. There are ancestors of mine on the map. Thank you again. 3. There is one correction I would make regarding Richard Adams, the father of Susannah (Conrad's wife). Susannah's mother and Richard's first wife was Gertien Op den Graeff. Richard and Gertien had nine children. She died before 1726 when Richard remarried Elsie (Alse) Withers at Christ Church Philadelphia on Dec. 22, 1726. 2. There is an excellent family association devoted to the Paulus and Arnold (Aret) Custer descendants. It is called KESTER, another variant spelling. I would urge all who are of these lines to attempt to make contact and that way you will be in the midst of all the action. Good luck...GA Custer was a Lt Col at death, not a General, by the way.

    3. Let me try and answer Michael's question about the Opden Graff and Kuesters. I have Abraham Isaac Op den Graff as the orginal immigrant. His daughter Gertien Op den Graff marris Richard Addams probably in Philidaphia area and have daughter Susannah. Susannah marries Conrad Custard (as I have the name spelled). Conrad's fatehr was Arnold Kuster, who along with his father Paul Kuesters and mother Gertrude Doors were orginal immigrants. I can furnish more generations both ways if desired. The Kuesters name is spelled various ways and does change over time depending upon which line is followed. The name does become Custer and does include George Armstrong Custer. Hope this helps. 2. Frank Mayberry
    3. Hi, Cathy! I read a little of the attached but not all, I saw some names that might be related like DeHaven, UpDeGraeff names. I have some information on these names on my previous webpage at: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=fmayberry Note: The info on George Mayberry being my ggggrandpa is not correct, as I have since found my real ggggrandpa Justinian & Mary Ann Houser Mayberry who were parents of about ten children included is my gggrandpa Israel Mayberry b. May 9, 1794 at Frederick, Maryland. I am now looking for the parents of Justinian who I believe was born in Montgomery Co., Pa. at or near Falkner's Swamp. I saw a Justin or Justinian Mayberry married to Anna ?? who had other children born and baptized in the area and recorded in the New Hanover Lutheran Church in Falkner's Swamp, Montgomery Co., Pa. sometime around 1703-1800. Also, mentioned on page 184, right col Egle's Notes Annual Volume, CD #19, 1898, notes and queries XXX -- Baptismal Records begins in 1743 166 pages thru 1747. Mentions John Pawling's son. (no name) age 2 in Providence. I have info on Rebecca Pawling who was mentioned as living with the Susan Taylor Family (Susan) head of household on the 1850 Census of Romney, Hampshire Co., Va(WV). Also, she was living with the two Mayberry sisters (Mary and Sarah) on the 1860 Census, their husbands were in the Civil War and both were killed. One of the sons of Susan Taylor (name was Simon D. Taylor) later shows up on the 1870 Census of Grand River Township, Cass County, Missouri. Rebecca Pawling was still living with the Taylor surname. She is buried in the Simon D. Taylor gravesite in the Grand River Twp Cemetery. She was indicated as being buried there however; her name was not located on a tombstone. Someone had scratched the name on the bottom of Simon D. Taylor's tombstone located in that cemetery named above. Apparently, she was closely related either to Susan Taylor who I believe her name was Susan Stump before marriage and a daughter of Peter Hass who married a man named Stump. This is my assumption so it's not really a verifiable source, but just that I have seen a reference to a Susan Stump marrying a Taylor sometime before my present search at the time back in the 1999/2000 time frame is when I saw and visited the Cemetery which is located about a quarter of a mile west of the main road which was apparently a section road which was of gravel hardtop. My gggrandpa Francis (aka Frank) Mayberry was a close friend of Simon D. Taylor. I found them located living next door to each other at the close of the Civil War both had moved to Cass Co., Mo. after the war's end. The Mayberry sisters Mary and Sarah had moved to Lexington, Lafayette Co., Mo. which was about 20 miles north near Kansas City, Mo. Hope this helps someone. Bye, Frank R.
