The massive machine, which weighs about 9000 pounds, slid down an embankment of about 30 feet and was injured to some extent by having some of the castings broken; not so seriously, however, but what it can be used and the accident will not delay the company in furnishing light and power at the appointed time. The W.C.T.U. will hold a temperance meeting at the Christian church on Wednesday evening at 7:30. The Reverend Walton Skipworth will deliver an address and a paper will be presented by a member of the local union.
