Dale and Carolee Lyddon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Tucker Road Baptist Church in Hood River (Oregon). The reception was held October 20, (2001) given by their children, Louis and Deborah Vaday of Hood River, Phil Lyddon of The Dalles, Steve and Amy Lyddon of North Bonneville and Kevin and Renee Lyddon of Parkdale (Oregon). The couple was wed October 26, 1951 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, moving to Parkdale in 1958. Then, Dale Lyddon worked for Harvey Aluminum, retiring from Northwest Aluminum after 36 years, in 1994. Carolee Lyddon worked for Diamond Fruit from 1959 to 1973, and then went to work at Columbia Gorge Center, becoming executive director in 1983. She retired as director of marketing in 1997. They also owned and operated a pear orchard on Clear Creek Road in Parkdale until 1972, when they moved to Eliot Drive in Hood River where they still reside.
