Surnames: Lunden, Finney, Robertson, Martin Jack Lunden, 81, a resident of Parkdale (Oregon), died at the hospital in Hood River on October 16, 2001. He was born December 20, 1919 in Naples, Idaho, to Amil and Ida (Finney) Lunden. He grew up and was educated in the Coeur 'd Alene, Idaho area and graduated from Rose Lake High School in Rose Lake, Idaho. During World War II he served in the 172nd Infantry, 43rd Division, in the liberation of the Philippines and occupancy of Japan. He married Patricia A. Robertson on January 6, 1959. He worked as a registered land surveyor in Idaho, Oregon and Alaska. He lived in Alaska until moving to Parkdale in 1974 after a 35-year career of power line survey and design. Survivors include his wife, Pat; a son, Jack A. Lunden; a daughter, Kristen; a sister, Rose Martin, and nieces and nephews. Private family servies have been held. Memorials may be made to the Northwest Medical Teams or the Salvation Army, sent in care of Anderson Funeral Home Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont, Hood River, Oregon 97031.
