Surnames: Parrish, Rice, Betsworth, Garcia Ella Mae Parrish, 76, a resident of Hood River (Oregon), died at the Hood River hospital on Tuesday, October 16, 2001. She was born November 6, 1924, in The Dalles, the youngest of three children to James Orville and Mary Florence (Rice) Betsworth. She graduated from Hood River High School. She married Homer Guy Parrish on July 3, 1947, in Hood River and he preceded her in death in August of 1990. She is survived by her son, Robert R. Parrish, Sweet Home (Oregon); her daughter, Charlene Loraine Garcia, Hood River; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Viewing visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 19 at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at The Dalles Parklawn Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 19, with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
