MAY’S FUNERAL SET FOR AFTERNOON Funeral services will be held at the Anderson Chapel this afternoon for Thomas W. May, Odell resident, 62, who died Monday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.C. Ison, a teacher in the city school. Mr. May and his surviving widow came here several months ago for an extended visit with the family of their daughter. The other daughters of Mr. May, Mrs. Sarah Wells and Mrs. Ruth White, live in Portland. ------------------------ The Hood River Glacier, Hood River, OR., April 16, 1925, page 10 THOMAS WILLBURN MAY Thomas Willburn May was born at Bloomington, Monroe county, Indiana, in 1853. He moved to Dickinson county, Kansas, in 1884. Mr. May was married to Esther Gertrude Lattin in 1885, and in 1904 the family moved to Arlington, Ore. Mr. May united with the Methodist Episcopal church in 1894 and at the time of his death was a member of that church at Wasco. He departed this life at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Melinda Ison, April 7, 1945. His wife and three daughters, Mrs. Melinda Ison, Hood Hood River; Mrs. Sarah Roberts, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Ruth White, of Portland, survive him. Funeral services were held last Thursday at the Anderson chapel, interment following at Idlewild cemetery. Rev. W.N. MAY Funeral services for Mrs. Esther G. May, 67, native of Fox Lake, Wisconsin, who passed away at the Hood River hospital Wednesday night, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Anderson chapel, the Rev. R.A. Fedje, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Interment be at Idlewild cemetery. Deceased had been a resident of Hood River for the past 13 years and is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Wyatt C. Ison, Hood River; Mrs. Sarah Robinson and Mrs. Ruth Aroll, of Portland; two brothers, Ed. Lattin, Kansas and the Rev. He was born Sep. 7, 1892, and died in Oct. 1986, with last residence of Longview, Cowlitz Co., WA. I have not looked for his obituary. Obituaries for Wyatt’s father, James, and Wyatt’s brother, Thomas, are posted separately on this message board.
