Events Calendar From Genealogical Council of Oregon Vol. 35 No. 3 July 2004 July 17, 2004 Summer Quest 2004 Tacoma, Washington July 23, 2004 Oregon Historic Cemeteries Meeting Bandon, Oregon Commission members hope South Coast residents and all who are interested in the care and preservation of Oregon's historic cemeteries will attend. Public comment is welcome at all OCHC meetings. Also on the agenda will be an update on the OCHC grants program for historic cemeteries, the legislative program, reports on threatened historic cemeteries, on the Association ofr Gravestone Studies conference and on the planned Oregon seminar and workshop on cemetery preservation methods. After the meeting the commissioners and the public will tour the Averill/Pioneer/GAR cemeteries led by Paul and Jewell Shelton of Bandon. The meeting will be held in the "Church Hall" just off Hwy 101 on Sea Bird Lane in Bandon.
