PARMELIE J.H. Parmelie was born in Durham, Conn, in 1824, and died in Hood River, Ore., April 1, 1907, aged 83 year. Mr. Parmelie spent the greater part of his life in western New York. Upon solicitation of his son William, of Hood River, he was induced to move here in 1905. The deceased was an ardent lover of nature, and spent much of his time in admiring the beautiful scenery of the valley. The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church. Three children remain to mourn the loss of a loving father, Wm. A. Parmelie, of Hood River, Jas. C. Parmelie, of Seattle, and Mrs. Dr. Snyder, of Chicago. The funeral services were held in the Nichols undertaking parlors, Rev. W.C. Gilmore, officiating. Interment in Idlewild cemetery. This was posted for reference only.
