O.D. CALDWELL Mrs. O.D. Caldwell died Saturday morning after a brief illness and the funeral occurred Sunday afternoon from the Bartmess Chapel. Mr. Caldwell, who has been working at the carpenter’s trade, moved his family from this city to the ranch recently purchased by Mrs. Mary LaMont from Ralph Jarvis last week. Besides her husband, Mrs. Caldwell leaves four children, Frank, David, Ella and Nina, the youngest being but three weeks old. She is survived by a mother and sister in the east. Mrs. Caldwell was born in Boone county, Iowa, in 1875, and has been a resident of Hood River for four years. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Isaac Peart, of the Valley Christian church, the deceased being a member of that denomination. The royal neighbors were present at the services, Mrs. Caldwell having been a member of that order. --------------------------------------------- The Hood River Glacier, Hood River, OR., August 17, 1910, page 2 MRS. O.D. CALDWELL Mrs. O.D. Caldwell, who had been living in town, but who was removed to the country Friday, died Saturday, August 13th, on the old Jarvis place in the Oak Grove district, now owned by Mrs. Lamonte, and which her husband had just taken the management. Mrs. Caldwell, although ill, was not considered in a serious condition, but is thought to have been weakened by the strain of moving. The deceased was born in Boone county, Iowa, March 17, 1875, and is survived by her husband and four children, the youngest about three weeks old. The funeral was held at Bartmess chapel Sunday afternoon at 3:30, services being conducted by Rev. Isaac Peart of the Valley Christian church. The burial services at Idlewild cemetery, where the remains were interred, were in charge of the Royal Neighbors, of which Mrs. Caldwell was a member. This was posted for reference only.
