Vose ---------------------------- The Hood River Glacier, Hood River, OR., May 17, 1928, page 5 “Odell” After having been an invalid for the past several years James William English passed away at his home near Summit on Thursday, May 3, 1928. He was born in Canada July 4, 1867, came to the United States, settling first in North Dakota, later coming to Walla Walla, Wash., and about 39 years ago, to Oregon. He married Miss Dollie Diver who was born on her father’s homestead which is now occupied by Cooper’s Dairy. For the past 26 years, Mr. and Mrs. English and their children and have resided in their present home. The widow and the following children survive: Mrs. E.L. Vose of Portland and Harry and Jayen English of Odell. There is also a grand-daughter. To these relatives who mourn we extend sympathy. This was posted for reference only.
