Surnames: Morris, Barnes, Schultz, Perkins, Clark, Egbert, Whitwell, Doke, Trail, Spade, Bledsoe, Selleneit Clifton "Bob" Robert Morris, Jr., 72, a resident of The Dalles since 1956, died at his home on Wednesday, August 21, 2002. He was born February 20, 1930, in Iraan, Texas, the third of four children to Clifton Robert and Thelma Veda (Barnes) Morris. He grew up in the Midwest and Vancouver (Washington). He married Caroline Schultz on June 24, 1949, in Vancouver. She preceded him in death in 1986. He worked as a supervisor at The Dalles Harvey Aluminum and Martin Marietta and Goldendale (Washington) Commonwealth (aluminum) from 1956 to his retirement in 1985. He was a member of BPOE (Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks), Eagles and Moose Lodges and the First Christian Church. He enjoyed camping, fishing, RV (recreational vehicle) travel and snowbirding to Arizona. Survivors include his wife, Billie Louise (Perkins) Morris, whom he married December 23, 1988, in Hood River; his children and their spouses, Bob and Cleta Morris, Sherry and Lloyd Clark; Dawn and Myron Egbert, Dianna and Lynn Whitwell, all of The Dalles; and Randy Morris, Las Vegas (Nevada); stepchildren, Jeff and Sue Doke, Martinez, California; Michael Doke, Hood River; Patti and Dave Trail, Elma, Washington; Joni Spade, Reno (Nevada); his grandchildren, Jeff, Joe, Angie, Carrie, Stacy, Kenny, Amber, Morgan, Tim, Marti, Jesse, Sarah, Hannah and Michael; great grandchildren, Kane, Zach, Devon, Alliand Tianna; his siblings, Wanda Bledsoe, The Dalles; guy and Betty Morris, Hermiston (Oregon); and Connie Selleneit, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard, and two infant daughters. Viewing visitation will be held at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home on Friday, August 23, from 2 to 7 p.m. and 9 a.m. through services on Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home. Interment follows at The Dalles Parklawn Cemetery.
