Surnames: Borthwick, Pentecost, Stephens, Metteer, Esch, Williams Lottie L. Borthwick, 96, a former resident of Antelope (Oregon), died at a care center in Madras (Oregon) on December 26, 2002. She was born July 1, 1906, at Burnt Ranch (Oregon) to Elzy and Mary (Pentecost) Stephens. She married Eldon O. Borthwick on February 26, 1927, in The Dalles. He preceded her in death. She had lived in Antelope since 1927, previously living in Shaniko (Oregon) and Burnt Ranch. She was a homemaker who lived to entertain family and friends and enjoyed cooking, canning and dewing. She also loved the outdoors. She was involved with refurbishing and restoring the Antelope Community Church and was a member of the Juniper Rebekah's as well as the Home Extension Group of Antelope. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Metteer, Madras (Oregon), and Billie Lucille Esch, Terrebonne (Oregon); sister, Crystal Williams, Hood River (Oregon); nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Janet Borthwick; five brothers and a sister. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 4, at 11 a.m. at Bel Air Colonial Chapel in Madras with Reverend Tom Telfer officiating. Private family committal will be at Mt.
