VOYLES Interment at the Mountain View cemetery followed funeral services November 5 for Clarence E. Voyles. Mr. Voyles died November 3 in the Hood River Memorial hospital. He was born to Mr. and Mrs. William C. Voyles in Poolville, Texas on September 18, 1901. He resided at 1119 9th St. in Hood River. Mr. Voyles was a member of the Providence Baptist church and is survived by his wife Clarice of Hood River; two sons, Troy D. Voyles of Yakima, Wash., and Kelley Voyles of Hood River; a brother, Bill of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Ione Roberts of Grover City, Calif., and Alle Wilson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and four grandchildren. ---------------------------------- The Hood River News, Hood River, OR., March 19, 1981, page 2 MAMIE VOYLES Services were held March 16 at the Anderson Funeral Home for Mamie Clarice Voyles, 69, who died March 12 at the Hood River Care Center after a long illness. Burial was in Mt. View Cemetery. Officiating was the Rev. Maury Houghland. Mrs. Voyles, a member of the Tucker Road Baptist Church, came to Hood River in 1961. She was a homemaker, and was born Oct. 2, 1911, in Eastland, Texas, to Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Smith. Survivors include two sons, Troy of Yakima and Kelley R. Voyles of Hood River; two brothers, Jim Smith of Hood River and Temple Smith of Seattle; three sisters, Jewell Lee of Hood River and Laverne Smith and Rosa Jeane Goodman, both of Portland; and four grandchildren. The family said contributions in her memory could be made to the Tucker Road Baptist Church memorial fund.
