Sandy will use the historic Dufur family as an example of what one might find in attempting to research your family history in a small town historical society, including the lumps and bumps and disappointments, and unexpected surprises. Duane, Dufur Historical Society VP, will present an overview of what that organization has done this past year, and hope to accomplish this year in preserving Dufur, Oregons past. May 8, 2004 Larry Kuttner: Larry will explain the techniques he used to learn the ancestral history of the Howard family, owners of the racehorse, Seabiscuit and how he became involved in the research of this family.
