Hi list, does anyone recognize the family name McKereghan who would have relocated to the Hood River, OR area around 1937? My grandfather, Jack Stanley McKerghan was born 2/28/1918 in Vancouver, BC. His original SS application lists his parents as Albert Edward McKereghan and Evelyn Martha Herks. It also lists the Apple Growers Assn. in Hood River as his employer. While I don't recognize either of the surnames you mention, the Apple Growers Association (AGA) has a long history in Hood River and was the predecessor of the current Diamond Fruit Growers, Inc., both cooperatives for selling fruit.
