Emily McDonald and Pete Shanabruch were married June 26, 2002 in the gardens of the Mt. Hood Hamlet at Mt. Hood, Oregon. She is the daughter of Laurie and Elt Fadness of The Dalles. She graduated from The Dalles High School in 1993 and Portland State University in 2001 with a Bachelors degree in Human Resources. She is currently working at Timberline Lodge as the Human Resources Assistant. He is the son of Carol and Ray Shanabruch of North Canton, Ohio. He graduated from Hoover High School in 1986 and attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He is currently working for Custom Graphics in the Portland area. The bride's matron of honor was her sister Chelsea Powell. The best man was Pete's brother Mike, of Cleveland, Ohio. The couple enjoyed the Canadian Rockies for their honeymoon.
