A story I've been told is that when the entrance sign was delivered the final "e" had been left off, so people started assuming that was the correct spelling. However, that sign has been there for more years than I care to remember, yet everyone used the final "e," and as your father-in-law pointed out it's still on cemetery paperwork. Beth
