    3. Surnames: Pridie, Wood, McInnes, Fournier, Sokoluk, Sprouse, Shafer Shirley May Wood Pridie died Monday, December 23, 2002, at the Hood River (Oregon) hospital. She was born Shirley May Wood in Snow Road, Ontario, Canada, on June 25, 1929. She married Ray Pridie on July 23, 1950, in Newberg (Oregon). She enjoyed traveling, collecting and knitting. She had many adventures in her life including rides in a blimp, helicopter and hot air balloon. She worked as a biologist engineer for the Corps of Engineers and the State of Washington for over 25 years. She is survived by husband Ray Pridie, The Dalles; four siblings, brother Bruce Wood, Toronto, Ontario (Canada); sister Vietta McInnes, Plevna, Ontario (Canada); sister Lorraine Fournier and husband Peter, Peterborough, Ontario (Canada); and sister Yvonne Sokoluk and husband Walter, North Bay, Ontario (Canada); four children, Karon Sprouse, The Dalles; Keith Pridie and wife Cathy, Prescott, Arizona; Kathy Shafer and husband Billy, Cornelius (Oregon); and Kitty Pridie and significant other Michael Ferrendelli, Wittmann, Arizona; three grandchildren, James Sprouse, Hagatna, Guam; Jonathan Pridie and wife Jennifer, Fort Myers, Florida; and Jason Pridie, Prescott, Arizona. The memorial service will be held at The Dalles Christian Center, 3219 West 10th Street, on Sunday, December 29, at 2 p.m. It will be officiated by Reverend Terry Mann. Arrangements by Columbia Cremation & Burial.
