Surnames: Murrow, Harshman, Ross, Merritt, Bailey James Edward Murrow, 55, a resident of Moro, died at a Portland hospital on Saturday, February 2, 2002. He was born June 12, 1946, in Nampa, Idaho, the older of two children to Warren Worth and Lanola Esther (Harshman) Murrow. He moved to Mosier (Oregon) as a child and attended Mosier schools. He married Eileen Kay Bailey on January 5, 1963, in Stevenson (Washington) and they lived in Hood River (Oregon) and The Dalles before moving to Moro (Oregon) in 1990. He worked as an auto body repairman for Owen's Chevrolet in Hood River, Dadson's Auto Body and as shop manager for Ray Schulten's Ford in The Dalles. In the mid 1980s, he started his own business, The Finishing Touch Auto Repair in The Dalles, and later moved the business to Moro. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Murrow, Moro; his children and their spouses, Cindy and Robert Ross, The Dalles; Tammy and Casey Merritt, La Mesa, California and James Jr., and Sarah Murrow, The Dalles; eight grandchildren and his brother, Robert Murrow, Willamina (Oregon). Private family services will be held. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory with Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
