Surnames: Esson, Mayfield, Meyers, Tucker, Lucero, Rooper, Lembke, Cochren, Stewart, Webb, Whitesell, Deel Mildred "Milly" Ina Esson, 56, a resident of The Dalles, died at her home on Tuesday, February 19, 2002. She was born April 11, 1945, in Hood River (Oregon), the tenth of 12 children to Merton Hawthorne and Mary Etta (Mayfield) Meyers. She grew up in Hood River Valley and Tygh Valley (Oregon) area and was a member of the class of 1963, at Southern Wasco County High School in Maupin (Oregon). She married Don tucker and later married Floyd Esson. She had worked as a respiratory therapist at The Dalles General Hospital and Mid-Columbia Medical Center until retiring for health reasons. She enjoyed homemaking, her family, camping, traveling and reading. She is survived by her children, Rick Tucker and Rock Tucker and his wife, Barbara, all of Newport (Oregon); Tammy Tucker, Portland; Cammy Lucero and her husband, Bennie, Silverton (Oregon); Mary Rooper and her husband, Jon, The Dalles; Travis Esson, Portland and Teresa Lembke and her husband, Paul, Goldendale (Washington); 13 grandchildren, Amber, Erin, Richard, Robert, Kali, Corey, Patty, Rocky, Ricki, Christopher, Kyle, Tyler and Jennifer, her siblings and their spouses, Ellen Skinner, Texas; Glen and Dorris Meyers and Lila and Floyd Cochren, all of Hood River; Gay Stewart, Terrebonne (Oregon); Carol Webb and Jess and Dollie Meyers, all of Tygh Valley; Josie and Frank Whitesell, Rowena (Oregon), and Majel and Jerry Deel, Portland, numberous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Jennifer Kari Esson, her brothers, Elmer and Gilbert Meyers and her sister, Vivian Jean Meyers. Memorial services will be held at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, with Asa Jenson officiating. Private cremation was held at The Dalles Win-quatt Crematory.
