I was not able to find any trace of the family in Oregon in 1900. Given the information about the children (age and birthplaces), it is quite possible they were either in transit to California in 1900 or already there. Couldn’t find them there, either, though. Florence Amy Langhirt nee Williams, mother’s maiden name Smith; SS#547802807; b 25 May 1906, CA; d 30 July 1984, Napa County, CA. 1910 Federal Census of California, Sonoma County, Cloverdale TWP, ED 141, page 129A, household 130. Cynthia Williams and seven of her 8 living children. She’s listed as married 23 years (not widowed), but husband is nowhere in sight. 1920 Federal Census of California, Mendocino County, Ukiah TWP, Mendocino State Hospital for Insane, ED 124, page 254, sheet 10B, line 55. Cynthia Williams is listed as patient, divorced. >> You might want to look for a divorce record in Mendocino County. 1930 Federal Census of California, Sonoma County, Santa Rosa TWP, ED 49-46, sheet 9B, household 247, family 279. Fred D Williams and family. There is a ten year old Cynthia located with a Missouri Smith, in Stewart County, TN in 1880—might be the one you are looking for. Regards, Dave
