I was not able to find any trace of the family in Oregon in 1900. Given the information about the children (age and birthplaces), it is quite possible they were either in transit to California in 1900 or already there. Couldn’t find them there, either, though. Cynthia Williams and seven of her 8 living children. She’s listed as married 23 years (not widowed), but husband is nowhere in sight. 1920 Federal Census of California, Mendocino County, Ukiah TWP, Mendocino State Hospital for Insane, ED 124, page 254, sheet 10B, line 55.
