The Dalles Chronicle, Friday Evening, May 13, 1955, page 2 Jess Randall, Former Dalles Resident Dies Jess Helems Randall of Hood River (Oregon), a former resident of The Dalles, died at Hood River yesterday after a long illness. A retired carpenter, Mr. Randall was born April 4, 1873, at Farrington, Illinois. Surviving are his widow Clara, Hood River, five daughters, Mrs. Matt Payne of The Dalles, Mrs. Marty Brace and Mrs. Paul Partlow, both of Hood River; Mrs. Earl Butler of Garden Grove, California and Mrs. Thomas Moore of Marianna, Arkansas; five sons, Floyd Randall of San Francisco, California; George of Coos Bay, Oregon; Wilbur of Lake Worth, Florida; Roy of San Mateo, California and Jay of Biloxi, Mississippi; a sister, Mrs. Leonard Rambo of Lewiston, Idaho and a brother, Fred Randall of Grassmer, Idaho. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Smith Callaway Chapel with the Reverend E. Ernest Tayler officiating, followed by burial in The Dalles IOOF cemetery.
