I have been transcribing articles starting with December 1890 (the earliest newspapers available for transcribing) in a sequential order. Earlier editions are available on microfilm from libraries. During the month of May only, I will be accepting requests for a specific date's news on that day. I will research these on Wednesdays but remember that all my notes are long hand and therefore it may take me awhile to get them all posted. So if you have a specific date (any year) that you would like to see posted, contact me with that date. One date per request please so that all can participate and only from The Dalles Chronicle. Only articles with names mentioned in the article of Oregon mostly people will be transcribed.
