    3. Surnames: Perkins, Clark, Anthony, Hawn, Halvorsen, Mattocks, Dillon Wanna Anthony Perkins, a Hood River, Oregon resident, died July 3, 2003 at Parkhurst House. She was 91 years of age. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 12, at 3 p.m. at Riverside Community Church. She was born April 20, 1912 in Wichita, Kansas to Fred and Josie (Clark) Anthony. Her mother was killed in a buggy and car accident in Wichita, when Wanna was an infant. Two years later, her father, after caring for three girls, Re-married. She graduated in 1931 from Wichita East High School and in 1935 She graduated from Wichita University where she had been May Queen. She married Cy Perkins May 31, 1936. They met in 1931 and celebrated their 72 years of love This past May 31st. She was an avid sports fan, attending college football games in the Midwest and All Farwest Basketball Classics in Portland and most of the Portland Buckaroo Hockey Games along the Columbia River Highway. She and her husband held season Tickets to Oregon State Football and Oregon State basketball for the last fifty Years. Cy and Wanna came to Hood River in July 1941 to join Cy's brother Clinton In a wholesale food business. She delivered Blue Bell Potato Chips from a Station wagon the opposite week of Cy being there in a truck. She had worked as A lab technician at Hood River Hospital during World War II. She and Shirley Pierson reorganized Sunday school at Riverside Community Church As their children became Sunday school age. She had campfire groups during and After her daughter Josie was out of campfire. She enjoyed playing bridge with Several groups. She was very friendly with all she met on her regular trips to Coffee spots in downtown Hood River and neighbors along the way. She fell During the downtown construction which did slow her some. She was a member of The P.E.O Sisterhood, a member of Riverside Community Church and Guild and a Charter member of the Hood River Lioness Club. Survivors include her husband Cy Perkins of Hood River; daughter Josie Hawn and Her husband John; granddaughter Ruth Halvorsen and her husband Mark and grandson Jim Mattocks and great grandsons Randy and Mason, all from New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her sister Isis Dillon and her son Tony. Tony was Taken by death one week before graduating from Lewis and Clark College in Portland. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riverside Community Church Memorial Fund, the P.E.O.
