To these individuals mostly in Mosier and Hood River: I wish to send a personal thank you to the following individuals (be they living or dead now) for doing such a good job in stepping in and helping fill in the gap when my Father passed away on March 11, 1949. I was just barely 14 years old then. They are; Willis Gholston, Johnny Mathews, Claude Berthold, Paul Kier, Budge Jones, Don Blanchard, Clyde Root, Mr. Sands (Safeway Store in Hood River), Mr. and Mrs.T. E. Morgensen, Lyle Gholston, "Shortie" Mgee, Goldie Noble, and some I cannot recall.
