I am helping my granddaughters find their family.Jakob (Gustavson)Fellman was born in Sweden and came to the states sometime in 1905, One thing he did was treavel the world and worked the diamond mines in Africa, and saw most of the U.S.A. and chose Hood River area to farm with his brother, married Alexandre who also born in Sweden, and died in Hood river, OR in 1914. Their son Victor John married Esther in Hood River Area, She was Nez Pierce Indian. Victor John divorced and later married Vera Leninger 1929-1930 in Hood River. Victor John and his wife Esther their son Steven Edward was born June 1928 either Wallawa or Hood River,OR. Any information on this family will be greatly apppreciated. ADDIE CADWELL and her mother MARCHA arrived about 1907. Addie married a TALLMAN in 1909. Brother ORA CADWELL headed out also in 1907. His wife HATTIE REYNOLDS Cadwell died there in August of 1910. I believe later he married EVA ATTERBURY. A 1911 note in the newspaper says brother ARY CADWELL was there too! Are any descendents still in Hood River? Her name is Ottie Poe Weathers and she was married to Floyd Weathers. They may have lived in the Hood River County, maybe between Hood River and The Dalles. Ottie died in the early to mid 1960's. Their Father was George Ira Poe b. 1868 Muncie, Indiana d. July 6, 1943 Hickman, Fulton County, Kentucky. Ottie's Mother was Ms. Lindsey (she must have died about 1905, because my Mother was the oldest child by his second wife and Mom was born in Oct. 1907),and they had the following children: Clint (lived in either Clarkston, Washington or Lewiston, Idaho), Arthur (lived in Memphis,Tn.), Ottie & Edgar (lived in Missouri when he died). GIPoe's 2nd. wife was Dora Listen Jowers b. 1882 Darden, Tenn. d. 1952 Memphis, Tn. buried in Fulton Co., Ky. They had the following children: Sidney Ava, Kenneth "Bunk", Edith. Does any researcher have this information or know where I could find it... Ambrose LeGrand F. Rucker, Sr. and Elizabeth Betsey McCluer Rucker... They both signed their names many different ways... Betsey died 5 June 1854, St. Louis, Missouri... They were married 4 March 1824 in Bedford County, Virginia... They relocated from Bedford County, Virginia to St. Louis in 1830, where he was the First Constable as it was then... They then relocated to Franklin County, Missouri in 1831... He was suposed to have been the First Sheriff of Franklin County, in 1831/32, but I have found no Documentation or Record of that yet... Does anyone have anything on this.?? He married Wife #2 Susan Elizabeth Branch on 23 December 1846 in Franklin County, Missouri... He founded Ruckers Prairie and Established the First Post Office there... He was the First Postmaster, 22 December 1853 to 15 May 1858... Resigning and leaving Missouri... He then left the State of Missouri, dying elsewhere, but thats another story...
