When searching and you can't get a hit, you try different spellings, e.g., changing "n"s to "u"s. Then you get the idea, hey, maybe he or she was living with an in-law. Well, this didn't work either. What did work? Darlene Dowhaniuk found one of my missing relatives by searching on the wife's maiden name. Low and behold - his last name had been changed to hers! (Maybe their 3 year old son told the mixed up Census Taker the wrong name...) Just another "Believe it or not" in the annals of Genealogy, to me. Dave Witthans P.S. I know that Valentine will chastise me and say its "in the 'New-bie' site!". If this method was listed there, I will join any site Valentine commands. (Gosh, I hope not.) P.P.S. Thanks again, Darlene.
