The GFO has been offered a fantastic donation of USGS topographical maps covering all parts of Oregon and some of Washington and California. These are current or a version one or two generations back of the 1:24,000-scale maps. There may be some 1:62,500-scale. The stack will total about 4-6 feet. They are not quite ready to go as they are still being sorted...probably in about a week or two. We will need to have about 4 persons to move them and also a flat-bed dolly (and a pickup to haul them). The maps are being offered by USGS Publishing Network - 2130 SW 5th Ave. If the address sounds familiar, it's the same building that housed the GFO library when we were downtown.
