My daughter was looking through a collection of post cards when she found a handwritten card announcing the birth of David Cicero Hines in Oregon in 1915. My daughter bought the card and the search for the descendants began. A kind Lister forwarded Mr. Hines obit which mentioned his children and their place of residence. The 'Net confirmed residence addresses. Today my daughter phoned one of Mr. Hines' sons, spoke with his wife who was thrilled to learn such a treasure exists and in a few days that 1915 birth announcement will be back with the family.
