Tests can be purchased and used later if you keep them out of the heat. They make nice birthday, anniversary or holiday gifts, also. If you have tested with 23andMe and AncestryDNA for the autosomal test, it is similar to the Family Finder test, so don't buy that, but have yours transferred to FTDNA from either of those other companies.
