I'm not sure of the depth of the snow in 1968, but we had deep snow and silver thaw in Nov. 1968. I had surgery and was released from the hospital only to get home and come down with the Hong Kong flu. The state police had to pick up a perscription for me as I was coughing so hard I was pulling outer stitches loose.
