If there've been no books checked out on the card in 2 years, it is purged from the system. They don't track internet use. (Something I found comforting ... I keep wondering when they're going to come after me for monopolizing their site!) The recommendation that was made to him was to go through the checkout process, but return the item at the same time. This will keep your card activated. Of course, we could always take them home and read them, too. Julie

    3. I use Heritage Quest many times a day so was very surprised when my card number stopped working. I had to go into the library to have it updated. I assumed that every time I typed in my number, it was being logged. Wrong- it is just a way for me to access and they don't have any idea how many people access their online services. I was amazed.
