    1. Re: [GFO] WA marriage records???
    2. Nathan Haines Sr.
    3. Hi, I have not had much luck finding WA marriage records. The Gresham FHC has a WA marriage index but it is on microfiche and it does not start until 1968. Oregon death certificates over 50 years old are all kept at the State Archives in Salem. You can get them for 25 cents there. There is an on-line OR death index that covers deaths in OR from 1903 to 1998. Just type Oregon death index into Google Search Engine and it will bring up the link to get you to that OR death index. OR marriage records are difficult to hunt down. Maybe not as hard as WA records though. The Forum has the State of OR marriage index on microfilm. It only covers from around 1905 to about the mid 1920s or something like that. There is a huge gap in the OR marriage index that is missing. There is no State marriage index from the 1920s to the 1960s or something like that. The Forum has the State marriage index on microfiche for the newer OR marriages. A lot of libraries have what there is of the OR marriage indexes at their libraries. Otherwise you just have to contact a County office and see if they will check their records for you as far as I know. There are a lot of marriage index books at various places. The Forum has a lot of marriage index books for various years for various counties in OR. In a perfect world there would be an on-line marriage index site for everyone in the world from Adam and Eve until now! :-] You probably noticed already that we are not in a perfect world. Good luck finding marriages in OR and WA.
