Gerry Lenzen stepped up to the bar and we are in for a treat with his presentation "Footprints of Our Ancestors" - the process and trail of records we can use to find the locality of origin for our European ancestors when we gather for the general membership meeting, Saturday, May 14, 2005, 2 pm at the Genealogical Forum of Oregon library, 1505 SE Gideon, Portland. Gerry was born in Glidden, Wisconsin and came west with his parents in 1941. After graduating from Portland State University, he worked for the Bonneville Power Administration for 32 plus years. He is a dedicated professional researcher, and gifted lecturer locally, regionally and nationally. Gerry continues to support the Forum on the Endowment Committee, Education Committee and reading room staff. Be ready to discover more ways to make the research journey successful as we learn about new record types and obscure resources. We may have to learn new skills in reading other languages, however, only a rudimentary language ability is necessary to comprehend important information.
