Now that we've established that WA death records are only a short walk away at the local LDS FHC....where can I find the WA marriage records? Are they also on film in the LDS library, aka FHC? How about the OR deaths and marriages? Thanks, Carole
An index of Oregon marriages, 1925-1945 is being created by a crew of GFO extractors. This will be published on CDs. Last I heard, the GFO workers had passed 1930 and probably have about enough to put on a CD. However, if you know the exact date of a marriage, you can probably get a copy ($$) from the Oregon Vital Statistics office here in Portland. If you don't have the exact date, the vital statistics clerks cannot do a search for you. There are barely enough clerks to keep up on storing the current new marriages records.
