The person in question died on February 1, 1916 in Portland. dw says: One way to get an Oregon obituary is to have your local library order the appropriate newspaper, on microfilm, thru interlibrary loan from Knight Library at the University of Oregon. Be forewarned, though - not everyone had an obituary and you may only find a death & funeral notice at the beginning of the classified section of the Oregonian. Also, many people died in Portland who didn't live there. In that case, the obituary is more apt to be in the local newspaper with no mention in the Portland paper. Daraleen
