I have tried to access the death list for the Oregon State Hospital using the direction provided by Diana, and I am still unable to locate my relatives. I have seen the books at the archives on one of my relatives so I know he should be on the list. I even tried Diana's Johnson, Nancy, and got "no records found". Has any one else tried it, and have you been successful? Thank you Sheri
Sheri, Start with this link. I just tried it and it seems to work now. Be sure to leave one space after the comma. example Smith, John not Smith,John Diana http://genealogy.state.or.us/start.lasso?location=search ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Thomas" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, February 14, 2005 10:43 AM Subject: [GFO] State Hospital Question >I have tried to access the death list for the Oregon State Hospital using >the direction provided by Diana, and I am still unable to locate my >relatives. Diana & Sheri: It appears whichever link you use the database search is the same. In any event note that the records in the register for the Oregon State Hospital are only for deaths. Two relatives were admitted to the hospital, one of which died. This database shows only the one who died at the hospital, and I would believe the register is probably fairly complete in this respect for the years covered. However, trying to find the remains of someone is a whole new problem, and for me as yet unsolved. Ben Tabler
