April 24, 2012 It finally happened. Oregon is at 100% in the 1940 indexing project. There are now fifteen states above 89% and Oregon joins Delaware and Colorado at 100%. Kansas was at 100%, but dropped back to 99%. As they go through the final process that sometimes happened. There are thirty-five states under 54%. Under 10% there are twenty states. I calculated last night that the entire census should be complete by the end of July based on these figures. Only the states under 89% are still available for downloading batches to process. The genealogy community is witnessing a great event, which brings together a large group of volunteers to benefit the future of our research.
