I have been looking at Donation Land Claims listing arrival dates by townships. Found this interesting set of info in T20S R5W. Near present day Lorane arr date Name 16 Oct 52 Crow, John b '96 KY wife Mary 28 Aug 52 Crow, Michael b '02 MO wife Harriet 25 Feb 53 Crow, Richard b '33 MO 1 Oct 52 Crow, Thomas b'29 MO wife Susan These were probably 2 brothers and 2 sons. I find it hard to believe they actually arrived in Oreg at such varied times. i would guess they came together, and each thought something different when they filed claim. Maybe Michael said when they reached The Dalles. and John when they reached Lane Co. And maybe Richard did go a different route, then maybe he stopped in Oregon City and got to Lane Co in Feb. Typically i have noted families do list same arrival date. Anyway we had earlier discussed a winter arrival dates. Gatime
