Hi, Looking for info on members of the "Wild" family from Missouri relative to the Oregon Trail. Here's what I know: Claiborne W. Wild arrived in Oregon Territory, September 1850. He settled a 300+ acre land patent in Lane County in 1853. He was not married. He drowned in the Long Tom River, Benton County in 1857. He was found by Jeptha Yates, Parker Bryan, and Howard Maupin. He's buried in the Monroe Cemetery. His parents, back in Missouri, gave his estate to his brother, John B. Wild. A "Native Daughters of the Golden West" document states that John B. Wild captained a wagon train of 50 wagons over the Overland Trail. He was in Oregon for a while, but ended up in Amador County, California by 1864. I would really appreciate any information regarding how these folks got to Oregon. Help! Thanks - Kathy Monaghan
