    3. The only tie-in I remember between the Devine's and the Vanport flood was their private home was flooded along with a lot of other people's. The water was not deep enough for the 'Chief' to come anywhere inland and participate in any way in the actual flood relief. In fact, if I remember correctly, it was out to sea at the time, on a job.
