    1. Re: Early Oregon Government - Nineveh Ford

    3. I know that Oregon wasn't a state until 1859. Let me try that again. I know that my gr gr grandfather Nineveh Ford was a member of the Oregon TERRITORY House of Representatives in 1854/55 because I have a copy of the warrant requesting that he be paid for that service. It is also a receipt (with his signature), and he was paid $186.00 for service from December 4, 1954 through February 1, 1955 @ $3/day plus milage for 40 miles traveled; paid Februry 1, 1855. Does anyone out there know where the early politicians of the Oregon TERRITORY might be listed?
