I know it's originally a German name I've seen it spelled Henkel, Henckel. My Hinkle ancestor Mary Rebecca March Hinkle Married John Franklin Adams 20 April 1820 Wayne, CO, IN both died in Turner, OR. They were both born in Rowan, NC. Mary father was Charles Henkel Germantown, Philadelphia, PA. if you recognize any of this let me know. << Dear Katherine, Read your names at the bottom and recognized one - Hinkle. On the farm adjacent to ours 13 miles east of Moses Lake, WA a widow and her 2 sons lived. Don, the one my age, and his older brother worked hard and increased the acreage they farmed. Don graduated from high school 1958. Any connection??
