One of my collateral lines has a William Warren Johnson s/o Hiram A. and Elizabeth Whitley Johnson being born May 29, 1847 on the Oregon Trail on the Platte River in Nebraska. He married Caroline Harris abt 1869 b. Jan 13, 1849 in Washington Co. Iowa. They raised at least 11 chn. Where did they end up? Any descendants out there? The James and Anna JOHNSON family traveled from Tennessee, to Iowa Territory about 1841, and then on to Oregon by wagon train in 1847. They settled a land claim in Tuality, Washington Co, Oregon in May of 1848, just 2 miles north of Forest Grove, OR. Here they remained until James died in 1870, the sons raising their families in Washington Co, nearby Columbia Co, Marion Co and Multnomah Co areas.
