    2. Pete Wasser
    3. Private service due for state's oldest resident. Geneva Arlene McNicholl, also known as Mrs. Mac or Grandma Mac, died at the age of 112 years, 1 month and 12 days at the Columbia Basin Care Facility in The Dalles, where she had resided since February of 1994. She was born in Lafayette on December 10, 1889 to Sylvester and Lovina (Henry) Grazer. Her mother shared her birthday and also lived to be 99 plus years. She was married in 1918 to a railroad worker, Harry E. Rogers and had a son, Robert in 1920. After their divorce, she worked in the Portland and coastal areas. After marrying her second husband, James McNicholl, they moved to Cooks, Washington where they built and operated a grocery/Shell gas station. She continued operating the store herself, after their divorce, until her retirement in 1966. The outdoors were a great enjoyment to her; hunting and fishing in her younger years. In later years, she traveled extensively. Also of great enjoyment to her were her gardens, trees and flowers, especially rhododendrons. She was a member of the Minerva Chapter #104, Order of Eastern Star, in Portland for 74 years. Attending dinners, activities, and tours with her friends at the Skamania County Senior Center provided much entertainment to her. Her brothers, Chester and Leland, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Robert E. and wife Marian; grandsons Leland and wife Irene, Alan and wife Angela; granddaughter Diane and husband Glenn Gree; great-grandsons Robert E. II and wife Cheri, Gary, Philip and wife Sarah, Timothy, Andrew, Christopher; great-granddaughter Michelle and husband Darren Noble and great-great grandsons Brennan, Darren and Noah. Memorial may be made to the cancer or heart fund. Smith Callaway Chapel was in care of arrangements.
