I did not see and Bible bashing. All I see is one mans explanation of time. Also one should be careful who they chew on , you know not who they are or what they do in real life. In many case's it very well might be some one who knows what they are talking about. Might be more educated than some of us. I try to take things people say in context and try to remember them in the future when a situation applies , but at the time when mentioned and I dont know any thing about it, I let it pass , just thinking * uhh huh Ok Right !* <G> I did not pass on the note about the calendar to get any one into an uproar , but only as a note because it was new to me and the timing was right . I dont know a hill of beans about what I posted , but I do know when something is new to me I get into a frenzy to find out more. SO I posted this, in hopes some one who did know more would make a few comments . My apologies if any one was upset , it looked like a good thing to make note to a bunch of hard working genealogists who might be at a brick wall only because the dates changed some how. I know Jim personally and I know he is very deep in the Bible and far well knowing, I dont see it as a bash, but a note about even what other researchers of the Bible times are doing . We are still learning a lot about the past and should be some what open minded to new information . I left this whole thing in tact so you can read from the bottom up from my first post , I can document where I got what I posted . Any one know about the land calendars ? Spirals on cliffs with just large rocks placed so the light shows through at the right times? I was reading an article about those to, very interesting how the ancients knew so much and we are high tech and just learning some of what they did ? Dan I agree whole heartedly.........we must also remember that language in black & white sounds much harsher than when stated in person. I don't think they were so smart -- just glorified sundials. That reminds me, Dan, the sundial at Fort Vancouver is exactly 15 minutes slow. If you don't believe me, go see for yourself. If the timepiece looses 15 minutes a day, think of how many years it's off (smirk). For this and other great conversations, have Dan send you an invite to the JustCHAT message board. ===== With best wishes, Jim Schira __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
