I'm so sorry, Ken. If you want to believe the dates in the Bible, you are perfectly free to do so. You won't find most theologians doing it, however. As for how the calendars were different, well, they were based upon 12 lunar months of 30 days each, and added months whenever the seasons got too far out of whack. The Babylonians had their calendar; King Ptolemy III had his calendar, and the Greeks had theirs. With all due respect to the Ancients, we don't know just what calendar they used, nor how long 1 year was, especially any one particular year. Really, we only know the basis of calendars from Julius Ceasar forward. For all we know, the ancient Church may have had it's very own calendar, independent of the ruling King's calendar. After all, the Church has always had very educated people -- at least as educated as the Pharoahs.
