    3. Surnames: Turner, Grabeel, Brown Donald H. Turner, 70, a professor at Willamette University College of Law for 30 years, died February 15, 2002. He served as deputy district attorney for Wasco County in 1960 and as district attorney from 1961 to 1971. He was President of the Oregon District Attorney's Association in 1966. He came to Willamette's Law of School in 1971 and taught there until his death. He taught criminal law, criminal procedure, evidence and scientific proof. He loved coaching the Moot Court Teams and served as Marion County juvenile referee from 1988 to 1992. He was a voracious reader all his life and was especially fond of history books. He enjoyed playing chess and won many chess tournaments including the Oregon Championship in 1964. He loved children and directed OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) chess tournaments for many years. He was a patron of the Ashland Shakespeare Festival and attended for nearly 50 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Barbara M. Turner, in 1989. Survivors include sons Donald G. Turner, Mark T. Turner, Kevin W. Turner and Brian C. Turner; daughters-in-law Holly and Karen Turner; grandchildren Morgan Turner, Kayren Turner, Robert Turner, David Turner, Amy Grabeel and Joshua Brown. Services will be held Saturday, February 23, at 3 p.m. at Willamette University's Cone Chapel in Waller Hall. Contributions may be sent to the Kidney Foundation of Oregon and Washington, P.O.
